I kind of fell into photography, literally; I tripped hiking and landed on a camera. Just kidding, it started when I was little, my parents always had cameras with them, and my family gave me a camera for my birthday. It never really took off until high school when I had friends tell me they liked my photos. My junior year I was in what is likely regarded as the most epic sledding accident of all time; I was hit in the head ended up in the ER I literally almost died. It was that year that I really changed, I learned to have fun with whatever I do, be patient, forgive myself and do my best. I was in recovery for 8 weeks mouth wired shut (I broke my jaw), thus the listening a lot, and with not much else to do, I took a lot of photos that winter. I never believed that I could make a living using my camera, and somehow through trial and error, determination, and friends; it happened. I went to school for photography and worked my tail off researching and studying as much as I could about the subject. I interned and worked for some of the best photographers in the Northwest and the Country, in various genres; commercial, wedding, portrait, architecture, product etc, before jumping out on my own to do what you see here on my website. In my time as a photographer I have worked with some amazing people, clients and friends, as well as large corporations such as Google, Facebook, Toyota and many others. Some say photographers are artists, but me… I’m more what someone might call an artist-technician, a little bit of a nerd and a little bit of an artist.
