John called me a week or two ago looking for a photographer… for his proposal to his girlfriend! When I got that call I knew that I wanted to do it! Photographing proposals are rare, and this was one with a few quirks to it. John had made plans with Jamie to fly up from Oregon to see her while she was visiting in Spokane. What she didn’t know, was that John was already in Spokane and working on Gonzaga’s Wall to paint out his proposal message. The day was a long one with much intensity, with a ton of things that had to go right, such as the weather, flight times (or fakes ones) as well as arriving to Gonzaga on a side of campus that would allow John to surprise her with his message on the Gonzaga Wall.
